Clear Channel’s Connect Mobile Platform offers a way for brands to engage with urban, affluent and influential audiences while they are Out of Home. Thousands of Adshel bus stop and digital roadside panels are now live with NFC (Near Field Communication) and QR code capabilities, offering consumers an interactive and immersive brand experience with a simple tap or scan of their smartphone.
What's in it for advertisers?
From one-click purchase to voucher, music or video downloads and information for commuters, the possibilities for advertisers are endless. Our Connect Mobile Platform combines Out of Home’s outstanding reach with deep engagement from great mobile content.
Advertisers can harness the power of Out of Home’s creative canvas to create beautiful advertising that directs people to brilliant content. It allows audiences to continue the conversation with brands on their journey.
Our suite of analytic tools helps advertisers fully understand their audiences and measure the effectiveness of Connect Mobile Platform campaigns.
How does it work?
The Connect Mobile Platform offers two ways for smartphone owners to engage with advertiser content:
1) Via Near Field Communication (if their phone is NFC-enabled)
2) By scanning a QR code (QR code readers can be downloaded to any smartphone).
On tapping or scanning their smartphone over the QR code or NFC tag, a unique URL will open in their phone’s browser. If the campaign is mobile-platform enabled, this will lead straight to the advertiser’s website or content; if not, they will be taken to a standard Clear Channel landing page. On a scroller or digital panel (where multiple advertisers are involved), on scanning or tapping, the consumer will be presented with a list of advertisers whose campaigns are mobile-platform enabled for them to select from.
Where is it?
Everywhere. The Connect Mobile Platform launched in the UK in 2013 with 10,000 Adshel panels right across the country. Interactive tags now appear on over 25,000 panels, bringing Connect to every urban area with a population of over 100,000 and in a variety of environments, including bars and shopping malls.
Building on the UK’s success, Clear Channel is now rolling-out the Connect Mobile Platform to 75,000 sites worldwide in 23 countries on 5 continents – creating the largest network of its kind.
