Following our cooperation with the OFT’s investigation into our local authority contracts for out-of-home advertising and street furniture, we are pleased and unsurprised that the OFT has decided there is no need to continue their investigation. We welcome its finding that no infringement has been made by us of the applicable competition laws. Our out-of-home contracts have always been designed to give great benefit to communities and involve substantial investment by Clear Channel.

Following a competitive tender, Clear Channel UK has retained the long term contract to supply, maintain and redevelop street furniture in Exeter. Over the next three years, 177 bus shelters and six free-standing units will be replaced to greatly enhance the roadside advertising opportunities in the city.
