Having a Real impact

A Responsible Media Owner

We care about the environment and are constantly looking for ways to reduce our environmental impact. We are proud of our achievements so far and we continue to assess how and where we can drive sustainability across all parts of our business from how we make purchase decisions to the research and development of products in our daily lives.

Accredited

ISO 14001

Our ISO 14001 accredited Environmental Management System covers all of our business location in the UK.

Each location has an environmental leader and we have a business wide Environmental Steering Committee on which four of our leadership team sit.

Sustainability projects

In a first for any Out of Home media owner, we've upgraded fluorescent tubes in our Adshel Classic panels to new, bespoke LED tubes. The new lighting has reduced Adshel's energy consumption and carbon footprint by up to 65%. We've installed new tubes on existing infrastructure nationwide including Glasgow, Newcastle and Brighton, significantly reducing Clear Channel's environmental impact.

We're rolling out a brand new fleet of electric and low emission vehicles across all business divisions. Plus, we're installing electric vehicle charging points at our depots.

We have an on-going programme of internal eco-initiatives to help our people be part of our efforts. We promote sustainability in our offices and depots under our Green Channel brand.

05 Collaboration

Working with our partners

We know we can't achieve our mission to be a Platform for Good without working in partnership.

In a collaboration with Trees for Cities we have planted over 400 trees in urban areas, bringing real benefits and a lasting legacy to our communities. Trees are a vital part of liveable cities by improving flood defence, cleaning pollutants from the air, contributing to the reduction of mental illness and providing an essential habitat for the biodiversity.

We’re also proud partners of the charity, Keep Britain Tidy, currently integrating into our Green Channel thinking the Waste Less Workplace pilot scheme. Our team have enthusiastically participated in the Great British Spring Clean too.

True collaboration happens because of the values of our people. We believe in affording our employees the time and space to volunteer and participate in some of the projects that share our values.
